PURCHASING AGENT

Description:  

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for buying goods and services necessary for company operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commercial mindset, with strong communication and negotiation skills. Responsibilities include verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifying receipt of items and authorizing payments.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Verify purchase requisitions, comparing and clarifying unclear items
  • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining approval from managing department
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history
  • Monitoring and expediting orders.
  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered
  • Resolves shipment errors with suppliers
  • Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving / shipping documentation
  • Keeps information accessible and organized by sorting and filing documents
  • Provides purchasing planning and information systems by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Supply Management - monitor current inventory levels and determine what is needed
  • Maintain vendor relationships

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions and purchasing best practices
  • Working knowledge of relevant purchasing software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Masters or Bachelor degree in business administration or relevant field, along with relevant industry experience

QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

Description:  

We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk for our Fletcher, NC location.

Job Requirements:

-  Manage all outgoing vendor orders and payments by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.

-  Process, input, and manage incoming customer orders and payments from multiple accounts.

-  Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices, and identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.

-  Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.

-  Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

-  Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.

-  Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.

-  Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation and taking proper steps to correct.

-  Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.

-  Secures financial information by completing data base backups.

-  Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.

-  Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The ideal candidate should have the following skill set:

-  3+ years of manufacturing related A.P. & A.R. experience.

-  Knowledge of Sage 50 (Peachtree) accounting software a plus.

-  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-  High level attention to detail and accuracy.

-  Strong organizational and sorting work to be accomplished.

-  Ability to self-motivate and manage multiple tasks within tight time frames.
